High performance for the professional photographer

The performance plus system adds a higher performance motherboard, little extra storage performance and capacity, larger and faster memory, a higher performance GPU and a higher wattage PSU over and above that available on the standard ‘Performance’ system.

As a professional photographer, your time is money.  A PC that’s faster at editing your images will enable you to achieve more during the working day and spend more time doing the vital editing rather than waiting for your PC to catch up.  If you work in the highest quality settings with high-resolution images, especially if working with high-resolution shots in RAW format to achieve the highest quality; you will appreciate the benefits this system offers.

All our photography PC systems are tuned to the requirements of post-processing large image files.  The WD SN770 Black SSD drives are blisteringly fast, use this for your Lightroom catalogue and work in progress / scratch files.  The system offers excellent performance in Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC applications.  The WD SN770 drive is one of the fastest SSD drives on the market.

We have also fitted a larger capacity hard drive.  The Seagate Barracuda 6TB storage drive is ideal for storing your image catalogue long term.  For best performance, keep all frequently accessed work and your current ‘work in progress’ on the Secondary 2TB SSD.  Use the hard drive to archive away all your completed jobs.  The primary 1TB WD Black SN770 is also a high performance drive and should be used for your operating system and application files.

The 48GB of DDR5 RAM is enough for most photographers and in this system the performance has been increased to the 6000MHz speed which helps improve responsiveness.

The higher wattage power supply is a benefit if you are looking to upgrade your PC in the future as it will be able to support additional high performance hardware if required.

Graphics performance is increased to the RTX 3060 12GB GPU.  This card has a great colour output with excellent visual quality.  The 12GB of VRAM is plenty for the most demanding of photography needs.  The GPU is also able to accelerate AI image enhancement algorithms.

The Coolermaster Silencio S600 chassis offers excellent potential for installing additional drives while keeping your high performance PC components cool and silent.  The system can accept an additional 4 SATA drives by providing capacity for 4 in any combination of 3.5″ drives 2.5″ drives. Also, the motherboard we use can support 2 x M.2 high-performance SSDs so in total you can use up to 8 storage drives in this system. To add further storage drives to your PC in the configurator, hit the ‘Add Another’ button to the right-hand side of the primary storage drive header.  Alternatively, contact us for a quote with additional storage options.
